3: But answered,_H0559 the people_H5971 not_H3808 You shall go out-_H3318 for_H3588 if_H0518 away_H5127 we flee,_H5127 not_H3808 they will care_H7760 about us_H0413 care_H3820 nor if_H0518 die,_H4191 half of us_H2677 neither_H3808 will they care_H7760 about us_H0413 will they care_H3820 but_H3588 now_H6258 [you are] worth_H3644 ten_H6235 thousand of us_H0505 for now_H6258 more_H2896 that_H3588 you are_H1961 in the city._H5892 Help_H5826

10: And saw [it]_H7200 man_H0376 a_H0259 and told_H5046 Joab,_H3097 and said,_H0559 just,_H2009 I saw_H7200 -_H0853 Absalom_H0053 hanging_H8518 in a terebinth [tree]._H0424

11: So said_H0559 Joab_H3097 to the man_H0376 who told_H5046 and just,_H2009 You saw [him]_H7200 and why_H4069 not_H3808 did you strike him_H5221 there_H8033 to the ground?_H0776 and I_H5921 would have given_H5414 ten_H6235 [shekels] of silver,_H3701 and belt_H2290 a._H0259

12: But said_H0559 the man_H0376 to_H0413 Joab,_H3097 Though_H3863 I_H0595 were to receive_H8254 in_H5921 my hand,_H3709 a thousand_H0505 [shekels] of silver_H3701 not_H3808 I would raise_H7971 my hand_H3027 against_H0413 son-_H1121 of the king_H4428 for_H3588 in our hearing_H0241 commanded_H6680 the king_H4428 you_H0853 and_H0853 Abishai_H0052 and_H0853 Ittai,_H0863 saying,_H0559 Beware_H8104 who [touches]_H4310 the young man_H5288 Absalom._H0053

15: And surrounded_H5437 ten_H6235 young men_H5288 who bore_H5375 armor_H3627 of Joab_H3097 and struck_H5221 -_H0853 Absalom,_H0053 and killed him._H4191

16: So blew_H8628 Joab_H3097 the trumpet,_H7782 and returned_H7725 the people_H5971 from pursuing_H7291 after_H0310 Israel,_H3478 for_H3588 held back_H2820 Joab_H3097 -_H0853 the people._H5971

17: And they took_H3947 -_H0853 Absalom,_H0053 and cast_H7993 him_H0853 in the woods,_H3293 into_H0413 a pit_H6354 large_H1419 and laid_H5324 over him_H5921 a heap_H1530 of stones_H0068 large_H1419 very_H3966 and all_H3605 Israel_H3478 fled_H5127 everyone_H0376 to his tent_H0168

20: And said_H0559 Joab_H3097 not_H3808 the man_H0376 shall take the news_H1309 You_H0859 day,_H3117 this_H2088 for you shall take the news_H1319 day-_H3117 another_H0312 but day_H3117 this_H2088 no_H3808 you shall take news,_H1319 because_H3588 upon_H5921 son_H1121 of the king_H4428 is dead._H4191

21: And said_H0559 Joab_H3097 to the Cushite,_H3569 go_H1980 tell_H5046 the king_H4428 what_H0834 you have seen._H7200 So bowed himself_H7812 the Cushite_H3569 to Joab,_H3097 and ran._H7323

22: And again_H3254 yet_H5750 Ahimaaz_H0290 son_H1121 of Zadok_H6659 and said_H0559 to_H0413 Joab,_H3097 but [regardless of] happens_H1961 what_H4100 will run_H7323 please_H4994 also_H1571 I_H0589 after_H0310 the Cushite._H3569 So said,_H0559 Joab_H3097 why_H4100 [is] this [that]_H2088 you_H0859 will run,_H7323 my son,_H1121 no_H0369 news_H1309 ready?_H4672

23: but [he said] happens_H1961 [regarddless of] what_H4100 let me run._H7323 So he said_H0559 Run._H7323 And ran_H7323 Ahimaaz_H0290 by way_H1870 of the plain,_H3603 and outran_H5674 -_H0853 the Cushite._H3569

24: Now David_H1732 was sitting_H3427 between_H0996 two_H8147 the gates-_H8179 and went up_H1980 the watchman_H6822 to_H0413 the roof_H1406 the over gate_H8179 to_H0413 the wall,_H2346 and lifted_H5375 -_H0853 his eyes,_H5869 and looked,_H7200 and there was_H2009 a man_H0376 running_H7323 alone._H0905

25: And cried out,_H7121 the watchman_H6822 and told_H5046 the king._H4428 And said,_H0559 the king_H4428 if_H0518 he [is] alone,_H0905 [there is] news_H1309 in his mouth._H6310 And he came_H1980 rapidly,_H1980 and drew near._H7131

26: And saw_H7200 the watchman_H6822 [another] man_H0376 another_H0312 running-_H7323 and called_H7121 the watchman_H6822 to_H0413 the gatekeeper,_H7778 and said,_H0559 there is_H2009 [another] man_H0376 running_H7323 alone._H0905 And said,_H0559 the king_H4428 also_H1571 this [one]_H2088 brings news._H1319

27: So said,_H0559 the watchman_H6822 I_H0589 think_H7200 -_H0853 the running_H4794 of the first_H7223 is like the running_H4794 of Ahimaaz_H0290 son_H1121 of Zadok._H6659 And said,_H0559 the king_H4428 a man,_H0376 good_H2896 this [one is]_H2088 and with_H0413 news_H1309 good_H2896 comes._H0935

28: And called out,_H7121 Ahimaaz_H0290 and said_H0559 to_H0413 the king,_H4428 all is well._H7965 And he bowed down_H7812 before the king,_H4428 with his face_H0639 to the earth_H0776 and said,_H0559 Blessed [be]_H1288 Yahweh_H3068 your God,_H0430 who_H0834 has delivered up_H5462 -_H0853 the men_H0376 who_H0834 raised_H5375 -_H0853 their hand_H3027 against my lord_H0113 the king._H4428

29: And said,_H0559 the king_H4428 is safe?_H7965 the young man_H5288 Absalom_H0053 and answered,_H0559 Ahimaaz_H0290 I saw_H7200 a tumult,_H1995 great_H1419 when sent_H7971 -_H0853 servant,_H5650 of the king_H4428 Joab_H3097 and [me]_H0853 your servant,_H5650 but not_H3808 I did know_H3045 why._H4100

30: And said_H0559 the king_H4428 Turn aside,_H5437 [and] stand_H3320 here._H3541 So he turned aside,_H5437 and stood still._H5975

31: And just then,_H2009 the Cushite_H3569 came-_H0935 and said,_H0559 the Cushite_H3569 there is good news,_H1319 my lord_H0113 the king-_H4428 for_H3588 has avenged you_H8199 Yahweh_H3068 this day_H3117 of_H3027 all_H3605 those who rose_H6965 against you._H5921

32: And said_H0559 the king_H4428 to_H0413 the Cushite,_H3569 is safe?_H7965 the young man_H5288 Absalom_H0053 so answered,_H0559 the Cushite_H3569 May be_H1961 like [that] young man_H5288 the enemies_H0341 of my lord_H0113 the king,_H4428 and all_H3605 who_H0834 rise_H6965 against you_H5921 to do harm,_H7451

33: and was deeply moved,_H7264 the king_H4428 and went up_H5927 to_H5921 the chamber over_H5944 the gate,_H8179 and wept._H1058 And thus_H3541 he said,_H0559 as he went,_H1980 my son_H1121 Absalom,_H0053 my son,_H1121 my son_H1121 Absalom!_H0053 Oh that_H4310 given_H5414 had died_H4191 I_H0589 in your place_H8478 Absalom,_H0053 my son,_H1121 my son!_H1121
