20: Having come_G3854 then_G1161 to_G4314 Him,_G0846 the_G3588 men_G0435 said,_G2036 John_G2491 the_G3588 Baptist_G0910 has sent_G0649 us_G1473 to_G4314 you,_G4771 saying,_G3004 You_G4771 are_G1510 the_G3588 coming [One],_G2064 or_G2228 another_G0243 are we to look for?_G4328

21: At_G1722 that very_G1565 -_G3588 hour,_G5610 He healed_G2323 many_G4183 of_G0575 diseases,_G3554 and_G2532 afflictions,_G3148 and_G2532 spirits_G4151 evil,_G4190 and_G2532 to blind_G5185 many_G4183 He granted_G5483 to see._G0991

26: But_G0235 what_G5101 have you gone out_G1831 to see?_G3708 A prophet?_G4396 Yes,_G3483 I say_G3004 to you,_G4771 and [one]_G2532 more excellent_G4053 than a prophet._G4396

27: This_G3778 is he_G1510 concerning_G4012 whom_G3739 it has been written:_G1125 Behold,_G2400 I send_G0649 the_G3588 messenger_G0032 of Me_G1473 before_G4253 [the] face_G4383 of you,_G4771 who_G3739 will prepare_G2680 the_G3588 way_G3598 of You_G4771 before_G1715 You._G4771

28: I say_G3004 to you,_G4771 a greater_G3173 among_G1722 [those] born_G1084 of women_G1135 than John_G2491 no one_G3762 is;_G1510 -_G3588 yet_G1161 the least_G3398 in_G1722 the_G3588 kingdom_G0932 of_G3588 God,_G2316 greater_G3173 than he_G0846 is._G1510

29: And_G2532 all_G3956 the_G3588 people_G2992 having heard,_G0191 even_G2532 the_G3588 tax collectors,_G5057 declared as righteous_G1344 -_G3588 God,_G2316 having been baptized [with]_G0907 the_G3588 baptism_G0908 of John;_G2491

30: -_G3588 but_G1161 the Pharisees_G5330 and_G2532 the_G3588 lawyers,_G3544 the_G3588 counsel_G1012 -_G3588 of God_G2316 rejected_G0114 as to_G1519 themselves,_G1438 not_G3361 having been baptized_G0907 by_G5259 him._G0846

31: To what_G5101 therefore_G3767 will I liken_G3666 the_G3588 men_G0444 of the_G3588 generation_G1074 this?_G3778 And_G2532 to what_G5101 are they_G1510 like?_G3664

32: Like_G3664 are they_G1510 to little children_G3813 -_G3588 in_G1722 the marketplace_G0058 sitting,_G2521 and_G2532 calling_G4377 to each other_G0240 one,_G3739 saying:_G3004 We piped_G0832 to you,_G4771 and_G2532 not_G3756 you did dance;_G3738 we sang a dirge,_G2354 and_G2532 not_G3756 you did weep._G2799

33: Has come_G2064 for_G1063 John_G2491 the_G3588 Baptist,_G0910 neither_G3361 eating_G2068 bread,_G0740 nor_G3383 drinking_G4095 wine,_G3631 and_G2532 you say,_G3004 A demon_G1140 He has._G2192

34: Has come_G2064 the_G3588 Son_G5207 -_G3588 of Man,_G0444 eating_G2068 and_G2532 drinking,_G4095 and_G2532 you say,_G3004 Behold,_G2400 a man,_G0444 a glutton_G5314 and_G2532 a drunkard,_G3630 a friend_G5384 of tax collectors_G5057 and_G2532 of sinners._G0268

35: And_G2532 was justified_G1344 -_G3588 wisdom_G4678 by_G0575 all_G3956 the_G3588 children_G5043 of her._G0846

39: Having seen_G3708 now_G1161 the_G3588 Pharisee,_G5330 the [one]_G3588 having invited_G2564 Him,_G0846 he spoke_G2036 within_G1722 himself,_G1438 saying,_G3004 This,_G3778 if_G1487 He were_G1510 a_G3588 a prophet,_G4396 would have known_G1097 -_G0302 who_G5101 and_G2532 what_G4217 the_G3588 woman [is]_G1135 who_G3748 touches_G0680 Him,_G0846 for_G3754 a sinner_G0268 she is._G1510

43: Answering,_G0611 Simon_G4613 said,_G2036 I take it_G5274 that_G3754 [he] to whom_G3739 the_G3588 most_G4119 he forgave._G5483 -_G3588 And_G1161 He said_G2036 to him,_G0846 Rightly_G3723 You have judged._G2919

44: And_G2532 having turned_G4762 to_G4314 the_G3588 woman,_G1135 -_G3588 to Simon_G4613 He was saying,_G5346 See you_G0991 this_G3778 the_G3588 woman?_G1135 I entered_G1525 of you_G4771 into_G1519 the_G3588 house,_G3614 water_G5204 of Me_G1473 for_G1909 feet_G4228 not_G3756 you gave;_G1325 with her_G3778 however_G1161 -_G3588 tears_G1144 she wet_G1026 My_G1473 -_G3588 feet,_G4228 and_G2532 with_G3588 [the] hair_G2359 of her_G0846 wiped [them]._G1591

45: A kiss_G5370 to Me_G1473 not_G3756 you gave;_G1325 she herself_G3778 however,_G1161 from_G0575 which [time]_G3739 I came in,_G1525 not_G3756 has ceased_G1257 kissing_G2705 My_G1473 -_G3588 feet._G4228

46: With oil_G1637 the_G3588 head_G2776 of Me_G1473 not_G3756 you did anoint;_G0218 she herself_G3778 however,_G1161 with fragrant oil_G3464 anointed_G0218 the_G3588 feet_G4228 of Me._G1473

47: This_G3739 therefore_G5484 I say_G3004 to you,_G4771 have been forgiven_G0863 the_G3588 sins_G0266 of her_G0846 -_G3588 many,_G4183 for_G3754 she loved_G0025 much;_G4183 to whom_G3739 however_G1161 little_G3641 is forgiven,_G0863 little_G3641 he loves._G0025

48: He said_G2036 then_G1161 to her,_G0846 Have been forgiven_G0863 your_G4771 -_G3588 sins._G0266

49: And_G2532 began_G0756 those_G3588 reclining_G4873 to say_G3004 within_G1722 themselves,_G1438 Who_G5101 this_G3778 is_G1510 who_G3739 even_G2532 sins_G0266 forgives?_G0863

50: He said_G2036 then_G1161 to_G4314 the_G3588 woman,_G1135 The_G3588 faith_G4102 of You_G4771 has saved_G4982 you;_G4771 go_G4198 in_G1519 peace._G1515
