4: Went up_G0305 then_G1161 also_G2532 Joseph,_G2501 from_G0575 -_G3588 Galilee_G1056 out of_G1537 [the] town_G4172 of Nazareth,_G3478 to_G1519 -_G3588 Judea,_G2449 to_G1519 [the] City_G4172 of David,_G1138 which_G3748 is called_G2564 Bethlehem,_G0965 because of_G1223 -_G3588 being_G1510 his_G0846 of_G1537 [the] house_G3624 and_G2532 family_G3965 of David,_G1138

5: to register_G0583 with_G4862 Mary,_G3137 the [one]_G3588 being betrothed_G3423 to him,_G0846 she being_G1510 with child._G1471

6: It came to pass_G1096 then_G1161 in_G1722 their_G3588 being_G1510 -_G0846 there,_G1563 were fulfilled_G4130 the_G3588 days_G2250 of the_G3588 giving birth_G5088 of her._G0846

7: And_G2532 she brought forth_G5088 the_G3588 son_G5207 of her,_G0846 the_G3588 firstborn,_G4416 and_G2532 wrapped in swaddling cloths_G4683 him,_G0846 and_G2532 laid_G0347 Him_G0846 in_G1722 a manger,_G5336 because_G1360 not_G3756 there was_G1510 for them_G0846 a place_G5117 in_G1722 the_G3588 inn._G2646

13: And_G2532 suddenly_G1810 there came_G1096 with_G4862 the_G3588 angel_G0032 a multitude_G4128 of [the] host_G4756 heavenly,_G3770 praising_G0134 -_G3588 God_G2316 and_G2532 saying:_G3004

14: Glory_G1391 in_G1722 [the] highest_G5310 to God,_G2316 and_G2532 on_G1909 earth_G1093 peace_G1515 among_G1722 men_G0444 with whom He is pleased!_G2107

22: And_G2532 when_G3753 were fulfilled_G4130 the_G3588 days_G2250 of the_G3588 purification_G2512 of them_G0846 according to_G2596 the_G3588 law_G3551 of Moses,_G3475 they brought_G0321 Him_G0846 to_G1519 Jerusalem,_G2414 to present_G3936 to the_G3588 Lord_G2962

23: as_G2531 it has been written_G1125 in [the]_G1722 law_G3551 of [the] Lord_G2962 -:_G3754 Every_G3956 male_G0730 opening_G1272 a womb_G3388 holy_G0040 to the_G3588 Lord_G2962 shall be called,_G2564

24: and_G2532 -_G3588 to offer_G1325 a sacrifice,_G2378 according to_G2596 that_G3588 having been said_G2046 in_G1722 the_G3588 law_G3551 of [the] Lord,_G2962 A pair_G2201 of turtle doves_G5167 or_G2228 two_G1417 young_G3502 pigeons._G4058

25: And_G2532 behold,_G2400 a man_G0444 there was_G1510 in_G1722 Jerusalem,_G2419 whose_G3739 name [was]_G3686 Simeon;_G4826 and_G2532 the_G3588 man_G0444 this_G3778 [was] righteous_G1342 and_G2532 devout,_G2126 waiting for_G4327 [the] consolation_G3874 -_G3588 of Israel,_G2474 and_G2532 [the] Spirit_G4151 was_G1510 Holy_G0040 upon_G1909 him._G0846

26: And_G2532 it was_G1510 to him_G0846 divinely revealed_G5537 by_G5259 the_G3588 Spirit_G4151 -_G3588 Holy_G0040 not_G3361 to see_G3708 death_G2288 before_G4250 that_G2228 -_G0302 he should see_G3708 the_G3588 Christ_G5547 of [the] Lord._G2962

29: Now_G3568 You dismiss_G0630 the_G3588 servant_G1401 of You,_G4771 Lord,_G1203 according to_G2596 the_G3588 word_G4487 of You,_G4771 in_G1722 peace;_G1515

30: for_G3754 have seen_G3708 the_G3588 eyes_G3788 of me_G1473 the_G3588 salvation_G4992 of You,_G4771

31: which_G3739 You have prepared_G2090 before_G2596 [the] face_G4383 of all_G3956 the_G3588 peoples,_G2992

32: a light_G5457 for_G1519 revelation_G0602 of [the] Gentiles,_G1484 and_G2532 glory_G1391 of [the] people_G2992 of You,_G4771 Israel._G2474

33: And_G2532 were_G1510 the_G3588 father_G3962 of Him,_G0846 and_G2532 the_G3588 mother,_G3384 marveling_G2296 at_G1909 the things_G3588 having been spoken_G2980 concerning_G4012 Him._G0846

34: And_G2532 blessed_G2127 them_G0846 Simeon,_G4826 and_G2532 said_G2036 to_G4314 Mary_G3137 the_G3588 mother_G3384 of Him:_G0846 Behold,_G2400 this [Child]_G3778 is appointed_G2749 for_G1519 [the] falling_G4431 and_G2532 rising up_G0386 of many_G4183 in_G1722 -_G3588 Israel,_G2474 and_G2532 for_G1519 a sign_G4592 spoken against—_G0483

35: and_G2532 of you_G4771 also_G1161 of her_G0846 the_G3588 soul_G5590 will go through_G1330 a sword—_G4501 so that_G3704 -_G0302 may be revealed_G0601 of_G1537 many_G4183 hearts_G2588 [the] thoughts._G1261

36: And_G2532 there was_G1510 Anna,_G0451 a prophetess,_G4398 daughter_G2364 of Phanuel,_G5323 of_G1537 [the] tribe_G5443 of Asher,_G0768 she_G3778 being advanced_G4260 in_G1722 years_G2250 great,_G4183 having lived_G2198 with_G3326 a husband_G0435 years_G2094 seven_G2033 from_G0575 the_G3588 marriage_G3932 of herself,_G0846

37: and_G2532 she_G0846 [was] a widow_G5503 of about_G2193 years_G2094 eighty [and]_G3589 four,_G5064 who_G3739 not_G3756 departed_G0868 the_G3588 temple,_G2411 with fastings_G3521 and_G2532 prayers_G1162 serving_G3000 night_G3571 and_G2532 day._G2250

38: And_G2532 she_G0846 at that_G3588 hour_G5610 having come up,_G2186 was giving praise_G0437 -_G3588 to God,_G2316 and_G2532 was speaking_G2980 concerning_G4012 Him_G0846 to all_G3956 those_G3588 waiting for_G4327 [the] redemption_G3085 of Jerusalem._G2419

44: Having supposed_G3543 now_G1161 Him_G0846 to be_G1510 in_G1722 their_G3588 company,_G4923 they went_G2064 a day’s_G2250 journey,_G3598 and_G2532 began seeking_G0327 Him_G0846 among_G1722 the_G3588 relatives_G4773 and_G2532 the_G3588 acquaintances;_G1110

45: and_G2532 not_G3361 having found [Him],_G2147 they returned_G5290 to_G1519 Jerusalem,_G2419 seeking_G0327 Him._G0846

46: And_G2532 it came to pass_G1096 after_G3326 days_G2250 three,_G5140 they found_G2147 Him_G0846 in_G1722 the_G3588 temple,_G2411 sitting_G2516 in_G1722 [the] midst_G3319 of the_G3588 teachers,_G1320 both_G2532 hearing_G0191 them_G0846 and_G2532 questioning_G1905 them._G0846

47: Were amazed_G1839 then_G1161 all_G3956 those_G3588 hearing_G0191 Him_G0846 at_G1909 the_G3588 understanding_G4907 and_G2532 the_G3588 answers_G0612 of Him._G0846

48: And_G2532 having seen_G3708 Him,_G0846 they were astonished,_G1605 and_G2532 said_G2036 to_G4314 Him_G0846 the_G3588 mother_G3384 of Him,_G0846 Child_G5043 why_G5101 have You done_G4160 to us_G1473 thus?_G3779 Behold,_G2400 the_G3588 father_G3962 of You,_G4771 and I,_G2504 distressing_G3600 were seeking_G2212 You._G4771

49: And_G2532 He said_G2036 to_G4314 them,_G0846 Why [is it]_G5101 that_G3754 you were seeking_G2212 Me?_G1473 Not_G3756 knew you_G1492 that_G3754 in_G1722 the [house]_G3588 of the_G3588 Father_G3962 of Me_G1473 it behooves_G1163 to be_G1510 Me?_G1473
