2: And_G2532 having fasted_G3522 days_G2250 forty_G5062 and_G2532 forty_G5062 nights,_G3571 afterward_G5305 He was hungry._G3983

3: And_G2532 having come_G4334 the_G3588 [one] tempting,_G3985 he said_G2036 to Him,_G0846 If_G1487 Son_G5207 You are_G1510 -_G3588 of God,_G2316 speak,_G2036 that_G2443 the_G3588 stones_G3037 these,_G3778 loaves of bread_G0740 might become._G1096

4: -_G3588 But_G1161 answering,_G0611 He said,_G2036 It has been written:_G1125 Not_G3756 by_G1909 bread_G0740 alone_G3441 shall live_G2198 the_G3588 man,_G0444 but_G0235 by_G1909 every_G3956 word_G4487 coming out_G1607 of_G1223 [the] mouth_G4750 of God._G2316

5: Then_G5119 takes_G3880 Him_G0846 the_G3588 devil_G1228 to_G1519 the_G3588 holy_G0040 city_G4172 and_G2532 sets_G2476 Him_G0846 upon_G1909 the_G3588 pinnacle_G4419 of the_G3588 temple,_G2411

6: and_G2532 says_G3004 to him,_G0846 If_G1487 Son_G5207 You are_G1510 -_G3588 of God,_G2316 throw_G0906 Yourself_G4572 down;_G2736 it has been written_G1125 for_G1063 -:_G3754 To the_G3588 angels_G0032 of Him_G0846 He will give orders_G1781 concerning_G4012 You,_G4771 and_G2532 in_G1909 [their] hands_G5495 will they bear up_G0142 You,_G4771 lest_G3361 ever_G4219 You strike_G4350 against_G4314 a stone_G3037 the_G3588 foot_G4228 of You._G4771

7: Said_G5346 to him_G0846 -_G3588 Jesus,_G2424 Again_G3825 it has been written:_G1125 Not_G3756 you shall test_G1598 [the] Lord_G2962 the_G3588 God_G2316 of you._G4771

8: Again_G3825 takes_G3880 Him_G0846 the_G3588 devil_G1228 to_G1519 a mountain_G3735 high_G5308 exceedingly,_G3029 and_G2532 shows_G1166 to Him_G0846 all_G3956 the_G3588 kingdoms_G0932 of the_G3588 world_G2889 and_G2532 the_G3588 glory_G1391 of them,_G0846

9: and_G2532 he says_G2036 to Him,_G0846 These things_G3778 to You_G4771 all_G3956 will I give,_G1325 if_G1437 falling down,_G4098 You will worship_G4352 me._G1473

10: Then_G5119 says_G3004 to him_G0846 -_G3588 Jesus,_G2424 Get you away,_G5217 Satan;_G4567 it has been written_G1125 for:_G1063 [The] Lord_G2962 the_G3588 God_G2316 of you,_G4771 you shall worship,_G4352 and_G2532 Him_G0846 alone_G3441 shall you serve._G3000

11: Then_G5119 leaves_G0863 Him_G0846 the_G3588 devil,_G1228 and_G2532 behold,_G2400 angels_G0032 came_G4334 and_G2532 were ministering_G1247 to Him._G0846

12: Having heard_G0191 now_G1161 that_G3754 John_G2491 had been delivered up,_G3860 He withdrew_G0402 into_G1519 -_G3588 Galilee._G1056

13: And_G2532 having left_G2641 -_G3588 Nazareth,_G3478 having come,_G2064 he dwelt_G2730 at_G1519 Capernaum,_G2584 which_G3588 [is] on the sea-side_G3864 in_G1722 [the] region_G3725 of Zebulun_G2194 and_G2532 Naphtali,_G3508

14: that_G2443 it might be fulfilled_G4137 that_G3588 having been spoken_G2046 by_G1223 Isaiah_G2268 the_G3588 prophet,_G4396 saying:_G3004

15: Land_G1093 of Zebulun_G2194 and_G2532 land_G1093 of Naphtali,_G3508 way_G3598 of [the] sea,_G2281 beyond_G4008 the_G3588 Jordan,_G2446 Galilee_G1056 of the_G3588 Gentiles—_G1484

16: The_G3588 people_G2992 -_G3588 sitting_G2521 in_G1722 darkness,_G4653 a light_G5457 have seen_G3708 great,_G3173 and_G2532 to those_G3588 sitting_G2521 in [the]_G1722 land_G5561 and_G2532 shadow_G4639 of death,_G2288 a light_G5457 has dawned_G0393 on them._G0846

17: From_G0575 that time_G5119 began_G0756 -_G3588 Jesus_G2424 to proclaim_G2784 and_G2532 to say,_G3004 Repent,_G3340 has drawn near_G1448 for_G1063 the_G3588 kingdom_G0932 of the_G3588 heavens._G3772

18: Walking_G4043 now_G1161 beside_G3844 the_G3588 Sea_G2281 -_G3588 of Galilee,_G1056 He saw_G3708 two_G1417 brothers,_G0080 Simon_G4613 -_G3588 called_G3004 Peter,_G4074 and_G2532 Andrew_G0406 the_G3588 brother_G0080 of him,_G0846 casting_G0906 a net_G0293 into_G1519 the_G3588 sea;_G2281 they were_G1510 for_G1063 fishermen._G0231

19: And_G2532 He says_G3004 to them,_G0846 Come follow_G1205 after_G3694 Me,_G1473 and_G2532 I will make_G4160 you_G4771 fishers_G0231 of men._G0444

20: -_G3588 And_G1161 immediately_G2112 having left_G0863 the_G3588 nets,_G1350 they followed_G0190 Him._G0846

21: And_G2532 having gone on_G4260 from there,_G1564 He saw_G3708 others,_G0243 two_G1417 brothers,_G0080 James_G2385 the [son]_G3588 -_G3588 of Zebedee,_G2199 and_G2532 John_G2491 the_G3588 brother_G0080 of him,_G0846 in_G1722 the_G3588 boat_G4143 with_G3326 Zebedee_G2199 the_G3588 father_G3962 of them,_G0846 mending_G2675 the_G3588 nets_G1350 of them;_G0846 and_G2532 He called_G2564 them._G0846

22: -_G3588 And_G1161 immediately,_G2112 having left_G0863 the_G3588 boat_G4143 and_G2532 the_G3588 father_G3962 of them,_G0846 they followed_G0190 Him._G0846

23: And_G2532 He was going_G4013 throughout_G1722 all_G3650 -_G3588 Galilee,_G1056 teaching_G1321 in_G1722 the_G3588 synagogues_G4864 of them,_G0846 and_G2532 proclaiming_G2784 the_G3588 gospel_G2098 of the_G3588 kingdom,_G0932 and_G2532 healing_G2323 every_G3956 disease_G3554 and_G2532 every_G3956 sickness_G3119 among_G1722 the_G3588 people._G2992

24: And_G2532 went out_G0565 the_G3588 news_G0189 of Him_G0846 into_G1519 all_G3650 -_G3588 Syria._G4947 And_G2532 they brought_G4374 to Him_G0846 all_G3956 the_G3588 sick_G2560 having_G2192 various_G4164 diseases_G3554 and_G2532 pains_G0931 oppressing,_G4912 and_G2532 being possessed by demons,_G1139 and_G2532 being epileptics,_G4583 and_G2532 paralytics;_G3885 and_G2532 He healed_G2323 them._G0846

25: And_G2532 followed_G0190 Him_G0846 crowds_G3793 great_G4183 from_G0575 -_G3588 Galilee,_G1056 and_G2532 [the] Decapolis,_G1179 and_G2532 Jerusalem,_G2414 and_G2532 Judea,_G2449 and_G2532 beyond_G4008 the_G3588 Jordan._G2446
