2: If_G1487 for_G1063 I_G1473 grieve_G3076 you_G4771 again,_G2532 who_G5101 -_G3588 is gladdening_G2165 me,_G1473 if_G1487 not_G3361 the [one]_G3588 being grieved_G3076 by_G1537 me?_G1473

3: And_G2532 I wrote_G1125 this_G3778 same thing,_G0846 so that_G2443 not,_G3361 having come,_G2064 grief_G3077 I might have_G2192 from [those]_G0575 of whom_G3739 it behooves_G1163 me_G1473 to rejoice,_G5463 trusting_G3982 in_G1909 all_G3956 you,_G4771 that_G3754 -_G3588 my_G1699 joy_G5479 of all_G3956 of you_G4771 is._G1510

4: Out of_G1537 for_G1063 much_G4183 affliction_G2347 and_G2532 anguish_G4928 of heart_G2588 I wrote_G1125 to you_G4771 through_G1223 many_G4183 tears,_G1144 not_G3756 that_G2443 you might be grieved,_G3076 but_G0235 the_G3588 love_G0026 that_G2443 you might know_G1097 that_G3739 I have_G2192 more abundantly_G4057 toward_G1519 you._G4771

5: If_G1487 however_G1161 anyone_G5100 has caused grief,_G3076 not_G3756 me_G1473 has he grieved,_G3076 but_G0235 in_G0575 part—_G3313 that_G2443 not_G3361 I might put it too severely—_G1912 all_G3956 you._G4771

6: Sufficient_G2425 to_G3588 such a one_G5108 [is] the_G3588 punishment_G2009 this,_G3778 which [is]_G3588 by_G5259 the_G3588 majority,_G4119

7: so that_G5620 on the contrary_G5121 rather_G3123 for you_G4771 to forgive_G5483 and_G2532 to comfort [him],_G3870 lest_G3361 perhaps_G4459 -_G3588 by more abundant_G4053 sorrow_G3077 should be overwhelmed_G2666 -_G3588 such a one._G5108

8: Therefore_G1352 I exhort_G3870 you_G4771 to confirm_G2964 toward_G1519 him_G0846 love._G0026

9: For_G1519 this_G3778 indeed_G1063 also_G2532 did I write,_G1125 so that_G2443 I might know_G1097 the_G3588 proof_G1382 of you,_G4771 whether_G1487 to_G1519 everything_G3956 obedient_G5255 you are._G1510

10: To whomever_G3739 now_G1161 anything_G5100 you forgive,_G5483 I also;_G2504 and_G2532 for_G1063 I,_G1473 to whom_G3739 I have forgiven,_G5483 if_G1487 anything_G5100 I have forgiven,_G5483 [it is] for the sake of_G1223 you_G4771 in_G1722 [the] person_G4383 of Christ,_G5547

11: so that_G2443 not_G3361 we should be outwitted_G4122 by_G5259 -_G3588 Satan;_G4567 not_G3756 for_G1063 of his_G0846 -_G3588 schemes_G3540 we are ignorant._G0050
